About Us

Culture of Connection is a media project within Regenerative Rising. Regenerative Rising is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization devoted to elevating and forwarding regenerative principles that expand the capability of people to lead from a living systems worldview. We accelerate and amplify principles of regenerative enterprise through in-person and online convening, our Regenerative Voices Podcast, and ongoing media projects.

OUR REGENERATIVE APPROACH TO FILMMAKING

Regenerative Rising’s film project is a natural extension of our leadership in galvanizing regenerative dialogue in the food and fashion industry over the past five years. As a 100% women-led organization, both at staff and board level, Regenerative Rising has distinguished itself by hosting diversity at the front of the room in all our events. Grounding upon this reputation of bringing groups of leaders, farmers and culturally diverse voices together for regenerative impact on the intersection of business and agriculture, we’ve synergized this Movement, evolved with this Movement and are humbled to produce this film as the next expression in the Movement.


We have embarked on a collaborative approach to production and abandoned the traditional hierarchical structure common in filmmaking. Through a shared planning process, we invite all film characters, the Regenerative Rising team and our production partner, Earth Coast Productions, to contribute to the vision, narrative, and final film.


We believe our cooperative approach is synergistic with the essence of the stories we are telling. We are aware of how the making of a film often tends to extract stories from communities without reciprocity of benefit or resource. To ground our aim, we will share 33% of profits back to the communities involved in this film.
